Precautions for Installation and Use of Knife Gate Valves
The knife gate valve boasts advantages such as a simple and compact structure, rational design, lightweight construction with material savings, reliable sealing, effortless and flexible operation, small size, smooth flow passage, low flow resistance, light weight, easy installation, and easy disassembly. It can operate normally under working pressures ranging from 1.0 MPa to 2.5 MPa and temperatures from -29°C to 550°C. The gate plate of the knife gate valve features a shearing action that scrapes off adhering substances from the sealing surface, automatically removing debris. The stainless steel gate plate effectively prevents sealing leaks caused by corrosion.

Knife Gate Valve Actuation Method

Installation and Usage Instructions for Knife Gate Valves
Gate Valve Maintenance 1. The handwheel, handle, and actuator mechanism must not be used for lifting purposes, and collision is strictly prohibited. 2. Double-disc gate valves should be installed vertically (i.e., the valve stem should be in a vertical position, with the handwheel at the top). 3. For gate valves equipped with a bypass valve, the bypass valve should be opened first before opening the main valve (to balance the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet and reduce the opening force). 4. For gate valves with an actuator mechanism, install them according to the instructions provided in the product manual. 5. If the valve is frequently opened and closed, lubricate it at least once a month.
