A brief introduction to the plug valve.
The plug valve’s main feature is its low fluid resistance. The internal flow passage within the gate is straight-through, and the medium flows without changing its direction of movement, thus resulting in lower flow resistance. It also requires less effort to open and close. During operation, the motion direction of the valve disc is perpendicular to the direction of medium flow, making it easier to operate compared to other types of valves. Generally, there are no restrictions on the direction of medium flow.

Analyze the performance of pneumatic knife gate valves.
The pneumatic knife gate valve has two sealing surfaces. In the commonly used wedge-type gate valve, these two sealing surfaces form a wedge shape; the wedge angle is adjusted according to the valve’s specifications to optimize the sealing performance. Typically, this angle is 50 degrees. Alternatively, the gate plate can be designed to undergo slight deformation, thereby enhancing its manufacturability and compensating for any dimensional inaccuracies that may arise during the machining of the sealing surfaces. Such a gate plate is referred to as an elastic gate plate.
Some key points about knife gate valves
The bottom of the knife-type gate valve disc features a blade-shaped bevel cut, which effectively severs the medium and prevents the valve from becoming clogged when closed. The knife-type gate valve is designed solely for shut-off purposes and cannot be used for throttling. In contrast, conventional gate valves can both throttle and switch. Compared to ordinary gate valves, the knife-type gate valve boasts a simpler structure, smaller size, flexible operation, and easy installation, making it ideal for media with high viscosity and solid particles. The full-diameter design of the knife-type gate valve enables its use even under harsh conditions involving dirty media. Additionally, the replaceable valve seat and packing make maintenance of the valve straightforward. Although the knife-type gate valve offers excellent performance, its price is generally higher than that of conventional gate valves.

What is a knife gate valve? What are the key points to consider during installation?
What is a knife gate valve? What are the key points to consider when installing it? A knife gate valve is a common type of electric gate valve, and can also be regarded as a very typical on-off switch. Its shape somewhat resembles an ancient hay cutter, which is why people habitually refer to this type of switch valve as a “knife gate valve.” Many people also call it simply a “knife valve.”

What are the structural features of knife gate valves?
Knife gate valves are widely used in fields such as tap water, sewage treatment, construction, and petroleum. Today, they have become increasingly popular. You should know that the quality of the valve you purchase directly affects its performance; therefore, when buying one, it’s only natural to pay attention to these key aspects. Next, let’s take a brief look at the features of knife gate valves.

Let’s take a look at the advantages of knife gate valves!
As the name suggests, a knife-type gate valve features a blade-like beveled cut at the bottom of its flat valve disc, enabling it to effectively cut off the medium. To help more people become familiar with knife-type gate valves, let’s now take a closer look at their basic information. I hope this will be helpful to you once you’ve read it.
