Features of manual slide valves: Manual slide valves are often used in conjunction with discharging equipment or hoppers. The manual screw gate valve features a flange connection for easy installation, and its inlet and outlet ports come in both square and round shapes. Depending on the diameter size, there are dozens of different specifications available. These valves are widely used in industries such as metallurgy, carbon products, chemical engineering, and building materials.

The manual slide valve features a simple and compact structure, a reasonable design, reliable sealing, lightweight and responsive operation, small size, smooth flow passage, low resistance, easy installation, and easy disassembly. The manual screw gate valve can be installed either horizontally or vertically and boasts characteristics such as wear resistance, automatic compensation, and a long service life.
During normal operation, all transmission parts of the manual slide valve should be inspected regularly and lubricated properly to ensure proper maintenance. Key points and features for using electric slide valves: The closing member of a slide valve is a gate, and the direction of movement of the gate is perpendicular to the flow direction of the fluid. Slide valves can only be fully opened or fully closed; they cannot be used for regulation or throttling.
The gate has two sealing surfaces. In commonly used gate valves, these two sealing surfaces form a wedge shape, with the wedge angle varying depending on the valve’s specifications—typically 50 degrees. The gate of a wedge-type gate valve can be made as a single piece, known as a rigid gate; alternatively, it can be designed to allow for slight deformation, thereby improving manufacturability and compensating for any deviations in the sealing surface angle that may occur during machining. Such gates are referred to as flexible gates. When the gate valve is closed, the sealing surfaces can rely solely on the pressure of the medium to achieve a tight seal.
