Butterfly valve is a kind of regulating valve with simple structure. It can also be used for on-off control of low-pressure pipeline media. The electric ventilation butterfly valve is a non-closed butterfly valve. Electro-pneumatic ventilation butterfly valves are used in dusty cold air or hot air gas pipelines for ventilation and environmental protection projects in chemical, building materials, power stations, glass and other industries, as a pipeline control device for gas medium to adjust flow or cut off. The ventilation valve should generally be installed horizontally in the pipeline.

The purpose of the ventilation butterfly valve

Ventilation butterfly valve is a non-closed butterfly valve, which is widely used in the production process of building materials, metallurgy, mining, electric power and other production processes. The temperature of the medium is ≤300℃ and the nominal pressure is 0.1Mpa. It is used to connect, open and close or adjust the flow of the medium.

The working principle of electric ventilation butterfly valve

The electric ventilating butterfly valve is driven by the motor to drive the actuator, so that the butterfly plate can rotate freely in the range of 90° to achieve the purpose of opening and closing or adjusting the medium flow. Electric actuators are generally 220V or 380V, on-off type and regulating type.

The main points of the ventilation butterfly valve

1. The position, height, and direction of the inlet and outlet of the device must meet the design requirements. Note that the direction of the medium flow should be consistent with the direction of the arrow marked on the valve body, and the connection should be firm and tight.

2. Visual inspection must be carried out before the valve is installed. The nameplate of the valve should comply with the current national standard "General Valve Marking" GB12220. The strength and tightness performance test should be carried out before the device, and it can be used only after being qualified. During the strength test, the test pressure is 1.5 times the nominal pressure, and the continuous time is not less than 5min. The valve housing and packing should be qualified without leakage. During the tightness test, the test pressure is 1.1 times the nominal pressure; the test continues time in line with the requirements of GB50243.
